Blu-ray Editorial Review
Forbidden Ground is a compelling World War I film directed by Adrian Powers and Johan Earl, set on the Western Front in 1916, focusing on three British soldiers trapped in No Man's Land. Running for 95 minutes, it provides a gripping portrayal of the brutal conditions soldiers faced, with less reliance on CGI and a strong emphasis on real effects, which some viewers found powerful and realistic. While the storyline retains some clichés often seen in war films, the execution has been praised for its dramatic tension and attention to detail. The film's production qualities and accurate depiction of trench life make it worth watching, notwithstanding some erratic acting and accents.
