Ensure proper electrical connections during installation to maintain functionality.

How can I troubleshoot a faulty power window switch in my vehicle?

If you're experiencing issues with window operation, start by checking the fuse associated with the power windows. If the fuse is intact, use a multimeter to test the switch itself for electrical continuity. If no continuity is detected, it may indicate that the switch is faulty and needs replacement. This allows DIY enthusiasts to save on labor costs while ensuring their vehicle remains functional.

This is especially useful in scenarios like adjusting airflow or responding to weather changes while on the road.

What should I do if my power windows stop working after replacing the switch?

If your power windows stop working after replacing the switch with the Dorman 901-090, first ensure all electrical connections are secure. It's also advisable to check the fuse related to the power windows, as it may have blown during installation. Occasionally, the issue may lie with the window motor rather than the switch.
