Manley 50# Brass Fishing Scale 2012

The Brass Scale 50Lb has garnered mixed reactions from users, reflecting a blend of nostalgia, utility, and concern over quality. Many customers appreciate the scale's historical significance and its effectiveness for fishing activities. A user highlighted how well this scale worked for their husband, who has fond memories of using a similar one in his professional days. Moreover, users have found it suitable for pre-setting drag on fishing reels, emphasizing its precision and reliability in fishing scenarios. However, not all feedback is positive. Several customers have criticized the scale's production quality compared to older models, specifically noting issues with the durability and accuracy of certain components. The newer scale seems to exhibit a grinding noise when in use, and the weight indicator ring's material has been perceived as flimsy, leading to inaccurate readings. Additionally, some reviews mention that the scale may be overpriced, raising concerns about its value for those looking for practical fishing tools. Overall, while the Brass Scale 50Lb appears to be a favored choice for traditionalists and serious anglers seeking a nostalgic experience, potential buyers should proceed with caution due to concerns regarding its Construction and accuracy. **
