The Extech CT70 AC Circuit Load Tester is a useful tool for troubleshooting and identifying issues with wiring in residential buildings. It can help detect voltage drop and identify the number of receptacles on a single branch circuit. However, it cannot be used to test GFCI outlets or simulate ground faults. It is not suitable for use in 2-prong outlets or 1-phase 2-wire circuits with no neutral. The product is well-built and easy to use. However, it does not come with a successor that tests AFCI and GFCI. Some reviewers have had issues with the warranty and experienced malfunctions with the product.
