Momo Kodama (Artist) Format: Audio CD Classical 0028948147380 Editorial Review
The editorial review discusses a recording of Debussy’s “Études” performed by Momo Kodama. The review describes Kodama's performance as "phenomenal" and praises her "precision, virtuosity, acute articulation, and mastery of form". The review suggests that Hosokawa's piece did not work well with Debussy and would have preferred Takemitsu instead. However, audio quality is exceptional, with good sound quality and no harshness or hardness. The review highly recommends this recording for the Debussy, but does not say anything good about the Hosokawa work. Another reviewer also praises the "crystal" sound of Kodama's piano, matching Debussy and Hosokawa's music well.
