Paramount Home Video DVD Movies Editorial Review
The reception for the Star Trek movie seems to be overwhelmingly positive. Fans of the original series with Shatner are pleased with how the new movie stayed true to the characters, and some found it to be one of the better Star Trek movies with a new twist. Purchasers also noted the cost savings and special offers when buying the movie online. The action-packed nature of the film and the portrayal of the characters, particularly by Chris Pine as Kirk and Zachary Quinto as Spock, received high praise. It has been highlighted as a movie that can appeal to both old Trek fans and new audiences with its blend of action, romance, and surprises. Some reviewers suggested that even those who are not Trek fans would enjoy the movie. Additionally, there were positive comments about the humor and the creation of the storyline. One customer even mentioned that their daughter, who had never seen anything related to Star Trek, watched it four times in a week.
