Fleetwood Mac (Performer, Artist Album-Oriented Rock (AOR) Editorial Review
The reception of Fleetwood Mac's "Rumours" in its latest audio format has drawn a blend of enthusiastic endorsements and a few reservations, particularly regarding the Atmos mix. Fans of the band and audio enthusiasts have praised the album for its clean, fantastic sound quality, especially when enjoyed in a 5-channel Blu-ray format. Many listeners have noted that the album enhances their enjoyment of the music, providing a richer experience than traditional stereo. Several reviewers describe the remixes as appealing, highlighting the album's enduring relevance for both collectors and as a gift option. However, the Atmos mix has generated mixed reactions. While some listeners appreciate the immersive quality it offers, with improved instrumental separation compared to standard mixes, others find it lacking in clarity and richness, describing it as muffled and in need of volume adjustments. Furthermore, users without an Atmos setup, who listen in 5.1 or stereo modes, have expressed a preference for those mixes over the Atmos version. Generally, despite some critiques of the Atmos experience, the Consensus remains that "Rumours" is a strong choice for both new and longtime fans, solidifying its place in audio collections. **
