The Akai Pro MIDI keyboard controller mini 25-key USB with velocity-sensitive eight drum pads and music production software MPK mini mk3 in grey is a popular product among beginners in DTM. It is a small and portable keyboard with 2 octaves (25 keys), making it convenient to carry around. Although the exterior is cheap and feels like spotted plastic, it is durable and suitable for private use. The reaction of the pads is impressive, but the velocity may seem strange and may not produce loud noises until hit hard. The latency issue will not be noticeable after proper setup. The sustain pedal could have been an expression pedal, but it is not a significant drawback. The manufacturer's site and instructions may be hard to understand for some, but information sites and blogs can be helpful.
