VSDISPLAY Monitor Accessories Editorial Review
The VSDISPLAY USB LVDS Controller Board has garnered a mixed yet predominantly positive reception among users. Customers appreciate its functionality, especially for repurposing laptop displays. One reviewer noted success in reviving an Alienware laptop display, highlighting the controller's capability. Users value its extensive software customization options, offering flexibility in adjusting settings to suit various needs. However, users are advised to test the controller with compatible screens carefully, as some have experienced issues with pins detaching from the screen. While the controller functions well with 17-inch displays, there are mentions of resolution limitations, with some users finding the maximum allowable resolution does not meet their expectations. Notably, users have raised concerns over the absence of a power supply, which requires separate purchases, yet they found that any compatible power supply, like a Zolt 45W model, works effectively. The controller tends to heat up during operation, which is expected, and some users mitigated this by adding a heat sink. Overall, customer service from the seller received praise, with quick and helpful responses to queries regarding the controller. The device is generally seen as a reliable option for those looking to repurpose displays, provided they are aware of its limitations and requirements. **
