SMALLRIG Stabilisers & Supports Editorial Review
The SMALLRIG FX3 / FX30 HawkLock Quick Release Camera Cage Kit has garnered a mixed but predominantly positive reception amongst users. The highlight of the product, according to customers, is the innovative HawkLock quick release feature that significantly enhances efficiency, particularly in dynamic shooting scenarios. Users praise the compatibility of this cage with other SmallRig camera attachments, enabling seamless transitions and setups. For those engaged in run-and-gun filmmaking, the cage's design and functionality appear to be a significant improvement over previous models. While most reviews highlight the cage's excellent build quality and modular design, which allows for easy addition or removal of components, some customers have raised concerns about the HDMI cable clamp's performance. A critical review pointed out that the clamp doesn't secure evenly and can pose a potential damage risk to the HDMI port if tightened excessively. This issue has led at least one user to suggest opting for an older design until this problem is resolved. Overall, the cage is visually appealing and well-designed, making it a favorite among users who wish to upgrade their FX3 or FX30 setups. However, potential buyers should be cautious about the HDMI clamp issue if that aspect is vital to their use case. ###
